Pain relief: Tramadol is a powerful prescription pain relieving medication commonly used to relieve pain. Other pain relieving medications are Buprenorphine, Butorphanol, Gabapentin.

Adequan: This is a polysulfated glycosaminoglycan. It improves the health of the cartilage and joint fluid and slows the progression of further arthritis. It is administered by intramuscular injections twice weekly for 4 weeks, weekly for 4 weeks, every other week for 4 weeks, then monthly or as needed to maintain an adequate comfort level. Some pets will complete the initial series and never need further injections while others benefit from injections every 1-3 months long term.
