March 2, 2013 - Two of our patients were inducted into the Oregon Animal Hall of Fame this year at the Oregon Veterinary Conference. We are so proud of Lily and Ryerson and enjoy sharing in the incredible bond with their human companions (all pictured in the photograph along with Dr. Julia Moore).
October 1, 2012 – Dr. Amsberry has been elected Vice President of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association this year and will serve as President in 2014. Our team is very proud as we know he will do a wonderful job advocating for animals and promoting high standards for our profession. For more information, visit the OVMA website.
July 1, 2012 – Multiple West Hills Animal Hospital staff members recently organized and participated in an event called Paws for a Cause. The event took place at Heartland Humane Society where volunteers provide wellness and medical care to homeless pets in our community. Coordinators, received an award of excellence from the Oregon Veterinary Medical Assocation at the recent OVC conference for her work with Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon. The award is given out once per year to honor an individual for their contribution to veterinary service. We are lucky to have Sue as part of our West Hills team, and her compassion and patient advocacy inspire us all.

October 10, 2011 – Thank you to everyone who came out to our 30th Anniversary and Client Appreciation Celebration. We had a great time seeing everyone and their pets! Our hospital raised over $1,300 for our Guardian Angel Fund, which provides care for stray animals or ill pets in low-income homes. Thanks again for a wonderful day!
June 22, 2011 – 4th of July holiday is right around the corner. While many of us enjoy celebrating the day with our family and friends, some animals can become anxious and nervous during all of the festivities and fireworks. March 5, 2011 - Carey Blake, CVT at West Hills Animal Hospital won the award of Oregon Technician of the Year 2011. The award was presented at the Oregon Veterinary Conference by the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association. We are all extremely proud to have Carey as one of our technicians and appreciate her compassion, dedication, technical skills, and patient advocacy. Congratulations!
